Business passengers more 'cost conscious'

Dec 10 2007

Business passengers are becoming increasingly 'cost-conscious', according to easyJet.

The company says that the business travel market is very lucrative and important and an area that more airlines would like to access as many workers fly budget to save their business money.

A spokesperson for the company states: 'Business passengers are more cost-conscious these days, however it is still essential for them to have convenience and reliability.'

She added that all business travellers have specific needs and as a result not all products from every airline will be suitable.

Approximately 20 per cent of easyJet customers are now travelling on business. This is a figure the company is looking to increase.

In November, easyJet signed a deal with Amadeus and Galileo, part of Travelport GDS to enable corporate travel agencies to view and book easyJet flights alongside other carriers to make comparisons and bookings easier.
