Female entrepreneurs awarded

Britain's leading female entrepreneurs have had their achievements recognised and rewarded at the annual Natwest Everywoman awards.

The ceremony was hosted by BBC's Fiona Bruce while awards patron Dame Mary Perkins and Elle Macpherson attended the ceremony held at the Dorchester Hotel on Wednesday with 300 'women of achievement.'

Their number consisted of government representatives, female entrepreneurs and pioneering women from industry.

Steve Pateman, chief executive NatWest Business Banking, says: 'We work with some fantastic female-owned businesses and recognise the unique challenges they face in order to achieve success.'

He adds that the awards celebrated some of the UK's most inspirational female entrepreneurs.

Winners included Rebecca Philipson from UR In The Paper. She won the Artemis award for most inspiring business owner under 25 years.

The Everywoman awards are held to celebrate the successes of business women. The awards are aimed at those who have had to overcome disadvantages such as skill gaps, financial constraints and social disadvantages.
