Q: I get an awful lot of unsolicited sales calls at my office and I feel that is slowing me and the business down. Is there any way of stopping this or at least some way of screening calls?

Unsolicited sales calls are often intrusive and an unwanted distraction for businesses but there are ways to prevent them.

The best place to start is a free service called the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS). It is free to register numbers at www.tpsonline.org.uk, and this will provide you a first line of defence against unsolicited UK sales and marketing calls – whether to all of your organisation's telephone numbers or just to certain numbers.
