Wiggly Wigglers, a Hertfordshire-based firm, was praised for its innovative approach to and use of technology.
John Dunsmure, managing director of the British Chambers of Commerce, says the garden designers impressed the judges with their well planned and effectively executed social media strategy.
Heather Gorringe, founder of Wiggly Wigglers, explains she was surprised to have won the prize.
She comments: 'Our social media strategy was always about having two way conversations with our prospective and existing customers so that we can help inspire them to create productive gardens that are great for wildlife and humans alike!'
The winning company has been given £15,000 in Dell technology and a training day with experts including company chairman and chief executive officer Michael Dell.
Wiggly Wigglers's Richard Fishbourne also shares a podcast on iTunes with Jeremy Vine's Radio 2 gardener Terry Walton.
