Technology necessary for business interaction

Small businesses should aim to utilise similar technology as there larger counterparts in order to integrate with them effectively, an industry specialist has claimed.
Technology Means Business claim that many small business must upgrade and embrace newer forms of technology to provide more efficient links.
Commenting on the need for SMEs to embrace new developments, Phil Flaxton at Technology Means Business says: 'For a long time businesses were using fax machines and fairly antiquated methods of communicating with their customers.
'Particularly in the retail sector, the supermarkets were insisting that they were themselves using new technology and that if the SMEs wanted to continue working with them they would have to get up to date to enable ease of processing orders and so on.'
According to the Office for National Statistics, 93 per cent of businesses with ten or employees use personal computers, compared with 100 per cent of companies with more than 1,000 employees.
