How do you measure up in ICT?

Government-backed e-commerce group UK online for business is offering companies an opportunity to check their progress in their use of information and communications technology (ICT) with a free online benchmarking tool.

To take part, business owners must fill in a short questionnaire, the answers to which will form the basis of a report on the current technological state of the firm. This is compared with the results of the International Benchmarking Survey conducted across the G7 group of industrialised countries by UK online for business.

The questionnaire asks for information on the level of technology used in the firm and how it is used in relation to customers, suppliers, marketing, internal systems and also how the technology itself is evaluated in terms of value and effectiveness.

In this way the report gives an idea of how a business is progressing and using ICT compared to other businesses of a similar size, operating in the same area and industry.

It will also suggest areas for development and offer links to content on the UK online for business site to help match technological solutions to your business objectives.
