Q: I have just started a small company and am unsure as to which title I should use on correspondence; owner, manager, director? What's the norm and are there any legal considerations?

While there are legal considerations regarding choosing a business name (see www.companieshouse.gov.uk) there are no legal implications regarding the job title you decide to use. However, the structure of the company often dictates your job title with sole-traders having managers/owners, partnerships having partners and limited companies having directors.

I'd go for Managing Director - sounds professional.
