Eco-friendly video conferencing saves money, charity says

Because of technological developments, the reliability of video conferencing is improving and it is more cost-effective than taking long journeys, it is claimed.
According to campaigns director for the organisation Jason Torrance, the way people approach transport is changing as oil reserves decrease and travel costs go up.
He remarks that when travel to other offices or events is essential, more people are choosing rail options like Eurostar to go between cities within the continent.
Improved transport networks are giving Britons the chance to change the way they travel and cut down on their personal carbon footprints, Torrance adds.
The progress report on transport policy published by the government in July found a quarter of carbon emissions come from commuters, with long flights causing the greatest amount of pollution.
