Wireless enhances SME productivity
Nov 20 2007
The introduction of wireless technology has increased productivity in the home, claims new research commissioned by Lexmark.
The findings of market research group Ipsos on behalf of the company revealed that 44 per cent of those homes surveyed were fitted with wireless broadband.
Productivity benefits had been experienced by 81 per cent of these home-working respondents.
Lexmark UK says: 'Almost 50 per cent of the UK cited wireless as the technology set to improve productivity the most in the next five years - more than enhanced processing power, portable devices and even the internet.'
The research showed that productivity increases were related to greater flexibility and mobility in working habits that wireless encouraged.
The company added that 'priorities are now about working smarter, not faster.'
Lexmark showed it's commitment to this new method of working with the launch of three new wireless all-in-one printers back in August of this year.
The company was established in 1991 as a developer, manufacturer and supplier of printing solutions for offices and homes.
