Q: We are establishing a franchise in the Middle-East, mainly for Dubai, Kuwait and the rest of the gulf area. Where can we find information about this niche area and about setting up such a business abroad?

The Middle East is definitely growing in significance and activity from a franchising perspective. There are currently no specific laws relating to the Middle East and so a lot of the franchising practice is heavily influenced by what has happened in other countries and the movement of big retail operations into the Middle East on a master franchise basis.

I suggest that you need to get some specialise advice about setting up and establishing a franchise network from one of the recognised franchise consultancies that have previous experience in this area.
