Gordon Ramsay joins search for top entrepreneurs

Jul 19 2007

Top chef and successful businessman Gordon Ramsay is searching for the UK’s most inspirational entrepreneurs.

Ramsay is joining the judging panel for the BT Business Essence of the Entrepreneur competition. Now in its second year, the campaign celebrates the achievements of small businesses that have demonstrated exceptional dedication and have found new directions to succeed in business with the help of technology.

The closing date for entries is Friday 20 July, and to qualify businesses must be privately owned, employ fewer than 75 people and demonstrate that technology has played an essential part in the success of their business.

The judges will select 20 winners and will also be looking for the best female entrepreneur, best male entrepreneur, best young entrepreneur and the most original business concept. To visualise the success of these entrepreneurs, a top photographer will hold a photo shoot designed to capture the essence of each entrepreneur and their business as a portrait.

The photographs will then feature in a high-profile exhibition in November at gallery@oxo, on London’s South Bank.

For full details of how to enter, along with terms and conditions and the gallery of 2006 winners, visit www.bt.com/entrepreneur.
