Q: I have a small design and manufacturing company in London. I have invested heavily in an energy saving device, which is now ready to be sold, but would like an environmental grant to raise product awareness. Is there anything out there?

The London Development Agency (www.lda.gov.uk) offer some funding in certain areas (eg Research & Development) but a number of criteria apply. My suggestion is that you contact Business Link London on 0845 6000 787 and ask to speak to an innovation specialist who will be able to discuss this in detail specific to your own circumstances.

SmallBusiness.co.uk has produced a useful guide to 'Green Grants' discussing in particular the Sustainable Routes grant, which offers £1,000 to companies with a green agenda.
