Businesses can do more to boost publicity
Jul 26 2007
Small businesses can do more to publicise themselves and support their growth, thanks to a new service offering free advice on creating and delivering press releases.
The advent of the digital age has allowed many smaller businesses to pitch themselves against more illustrious competitors in their fields using innovative online sales and marketing techniques.
Now a new white paper, entitled Press Release Writing and Distribution - a Step-By-Step Guide for Small and Medium Businesses, offers another active approach through which business managers can help further support their company's growth.
The paper, available at www.dwpub.com, has been written by Daryl Willcox, chairman of online media services company Daryl Willcox Publishing, and describes how new technology has made creating and distributing business publicity more accessible than ever for companies of all types and sizes.
'Some may think the press release is an old-fashioned tool for the exclusive use of the PR professional, but this couldn't be further from the truth,' says Mr Willcox.
'With a little guidance, any owner manager or small business marketing person can prepare their own press releases and use the internet to reach a massive audience.'
