Q: How are Child Support Agency payments calculated for the self-employed?

Feb 23 2007

Answered by: Peter Done     Ask a question

A minimum required payment is calculated taking your income, custody arrangement and other factors into account. If you are self-employed, you won’t have a regular fixed income, so it’s important you seek expert advice to ensure you are meeting your obligations.

If you have an accountant, they will be able to advise you on this. Alternatively you can contact your local HM Customs and Revenue office, or visit www.hmrc.gov.uk.
