Q: I am in business partnership with my husband. I have discovered that I am frozen out of our business account. He apparently had me removed from the partnership while I was on a short break. Is this legal, without informing me?

If you are the only two partners and you did not have a partnership agreement, and, provided you can prove that you had a partnership, if one partner wants to end the agreement they have to give the other partner notice of termination.
There should then be an agreement about sharing the assets and liabilities of the partnership. In the absence of a partnership agreement, profits and losses would normally be shared equally. Records such as financial reports would be evidence of the existence of a partnership and the division of profits. If you can draw upon such evidence and your husband will not rectify the situation you may have to take legal advice to enforce your rights.
You should find an independent solicitor experienced in partnership disputes.
