Q: I have devised a form of ‘cladding’ which can turn an old-looking house into a new-looking Tudor-style home. Can you suggest anyone who could help me get it to market?

The British Coatings Federation (www.coatings.org.uk; 01372-360660) might be able to help. Apart from that I suggest that you contact major building suppliers with a view to one of them licensing your product and taking it to market. If this were successful, you would receive a royalty for every one of your products sold.
I don’t know if your material involves an inventive step and can be patented, but I would suggest you find out. You could contact a patent agent who might be able to advise you. Contact The Chartered Institute of Patent Agents (www.cipa.org.uk; 020-7405 9450). This organisation runs clinics where a short consultation can be free and you could discuss what you are doing. You mustn’t reveal your secrets to anyone else, because then you would not be able to obtain a patent. Take this step before trying to sell your product to a commercial organisation.
If you approach a potential joint venture partner or distributor to help you exploit it commercially, ask them to sign a confidentiality agreement.
