Q: What are employers obligated to provide for an injured employee, who was injured at work? For example, would an employer have to pay for the injured employees physiotherapy if this sort of treatment was required or recommended by a GP?

Unless your contracts of employment state that you provide such support then you would only be liable to make such provision if required to do so as a result of a successful personal injury claim by the employee.
Of course, you may wish to make such provision voluntarily as many employers would if they felt responsible for the injury, but you would be well advised to check first with the insurers who provide your Employers Liability Policy or whichever policy you think may be relevant to this case, as they may regard that as an admission of liability and seek to restrict you making such an offer in the first instance. It would be advisable to obtain the insurer’s written permission before taking any action.
