Q: Can I still run a small business while receiving disability benefits?

Jan 13 2007

Answered by: Philip Wilkinson     Ask a question

This is a complex question and the answer will depend on your own particular circumstances and which disability benefits you are already claiming. The best solution is to talk to a Disability Employment Advisor at your local Job Centre Plus before you start your business. They will be able to guide you as to which benefits you can claim once you start up in business.

Business Link for London has a monthly column by a business owner with a disability, which you may also find helpful. Click here.
