Q: I am a sole trader and employ one labourer aged 17. How many paid days holiday is he entitled to?

Everyone is entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave, inclusive of any paid public or bank holidays, up to a maximum of 28 days. Anyone working full-time will receive 28 days paid leave per year and this is calculated pro-rata for anyone working less than full time. The fact that he is 17 does not change his entitlement.
