Q: I need finance to buy a small van for my company.  How can I get help when the banks won’t help?

In today’s environment it is much more difficult to obtain debt finance than it once was. However, when looking at asset purchases (e.g. vans and equipment) try talking to the dealer about manufacturer-provided finance options (e.g. hire purchase/lease purchase). Most motor dealers will have some sort of ready-made solution lined up.
