Q: I’m looking to develop my web publishing skills. Are their any good courses you can recommend or suggest I go on?

The British Computer Society and many universities and community centres offer a range of courses in web publishing, with various levels depending on your skill set.

Alternatively you can purchase, web authoring tools which can help you to generate attractive web pages. These are generally simple to use and can be purchased online or at IT stores.

You can also download style sheets from the internet that are used to determine the appearance of web pages and will help you to determine the correct fonts, colours and layout characteristics to use.

BT will be launching a collection of online training packages at the end of April that take people through all of the tasks necessary to build a custom site.
