SMEs not happy with processes for dealing with customers

Feb 12 2008

Up to 85 per cent of SMEs are not happy with their current customer interaction process, one business expert claims.

Marlon Bowser, founder and chief executive officer of HTK, says that using hosted applications could assist SMEs to ensure their customer interaction processes are managed better.

'Perhaps hosted software offers the answer, providing a cost effective solution with little capital cost and enabling SME to gain a competitive edge through effective customer engagement and management,' he states.

According to the news provider, 74 per cent of businesses surveyed said they wanted to further develop their direct marketing strategies.

Only 26 per cent of those SMEs questioned believed their processes to respond to customer enquiries were as good as they could be.

Meanwhile, experts with the Chartered Institute of Marketing say SMEs can benefit from making their marketing material as simple as possible.
